- 11,232 loads of laundry washed, dried, folded (and sometimes put away)
- 7,020 home cooked dinners (we probably ate out more than we should have)
- 20,280 hours driving kids to practices (love the windshield time, Atlanta traffic, not so much)
- 12,859 first day of school forms (so.many.forms.)
- 432 vomit clean ups
- 63 sick doctors appointments
- $bazillion spent in competitive sports
- and, you get the point,
Thirty years later, and I am finding it’s time to start prepping for the next chapter in my life. I am now recently single after a 10-year marriage that had good times for sure, but honestly, we are simply better off as friends. Now, almost 56 years old and here I am trying to figure out what’s next in this life. After 30 years of the best kind of chaos in the world called a house full of kids, two marriages that ended for a variety of reasons, it’s time for me to stop for a minute and figure out what I want.
