Great article! Now that my kids are older and mostly self sufficient, I’ve started carving out more time for old hobbies like photography and crafting!

Thank you! Yes, it's so important to spend time on doing things we love!

Nice article! I have a daughter who married and moved away; the youngest opened her own business and recently got engaged. Hubby and I are pretty much on our own. We started traveling and painting again as we are both creative. It’s so much fun! I feel like a teenager again with my sweetheart doing the things we put off while raising our family. 🥰 You can follow our adventures @emptynestliving1 and view my artwork @ivyfineart

Wonderful post! My husband and I just empty nested for the second, or is it the 3rd round. We had our 14 year old grandson for a year and I home schooled him. I was happy to have him back with his family but we miss him:)

Aww, so sweet! I don't have kids but I'm about to move close to my brother and he's starting to experience empty-nest with my nieces and nephew … he's not ready lol!

Hi Jae! Lol! I totally understand your brother! I’m not ready either!

I love muscials and think it is an amazing gift your friend Arleen has to share her voice and acting. As the children get older and move out of home, it is great to rediscover interests and hobbies and have time to fulfil them. My daughteer has moved to Sydeny to be closer to work but my son is loving time cooking up a storm in my kitchen between university studies.

Angie, yes! Arleen has an amazing gift, and I love how she has pursued it in this stage of her life! And, lucky you to have a chef in your family, even if it’s only during college breaks!

Oh what a fun and inspiring story! I am so happy for her! That is so cool, we are celebrating our 35th this year too! I think it is kind of cool they slipped away like that to another state and enjoyed building a whole new life!
